THE FINE PRINT
Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE 22 JULY 2026 · GOVERNED BY THE PRIVACY ACT 1988 (CTH)
1. Who we are
This website, zaffarkhan.com, is operated from Australia by Zaffar Khan (referred to as "we", "us" or "our"). We provide business education: workshops, mentoring programs, speaking engagements, ebooks, a podcast and related resources.
We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What we collect
Contact details you provide: your name, email address, phone number and business name when you download the free workbook, join the newsletter, submit the contact form or make an enquiry.
Purchase details: when you buy an ebook, our payment provider Stripe collects your payment card details, name, email and billing country. We never see or store your full card number; we receive confirmation of payment, the items purchased and your contact details so we can deliver your order.
Technical information: standard website data such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the site working properly.
3. How we use your information
To deliver what you asked for: sending your workbook verification code, delivering purchased ebook download links, responding to enquiries and processing workshop or mentoring applications.
To send the newsletter and updates about Zaffarology programs, if you signed up for them. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out, and you can also ask us to stop at any time via the contact page.
To keep records of orders for accounting, tax and consumer-law purposes.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run this website: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email delivery), Vercel (website hosting and file storage) and Neon (secure database hosting). Each provider only receives what it needs to perform its service.
Some of these providers store data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. By using this site you consent to that overseas disclosure; we take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the APPs.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site uses minimal browser storage: your shopping cart contents are kept in your own browser's local storage, and a session cookie is used for administrative access by our staff. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Videos on this site are embedded from YouTube and only load when you choose to play them; YouTube may set its own cookies at that point under its own privacy policy.
6. Security and retention
Personal information is stored in access-controlled systems. Download links are time-limited and cryptographically signed, verification codes are stored only as one-way hashes, and administrative access is password-protected.
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by Australian law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes), after which it is deleted.
7. Access, correction and deletion
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to any legal obligation to retain records). To do so, contact us via the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve the issue promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
